TIDC Professional Development

TIDC is committed to leveraging the skills of the current workforce to help newly interested professionals enter the field and to train current professionals on new innovations as a result of our research findings. Workforce development opportunities are offered through webinars, poster sessions, seminars, workshops, The Annual TIDC New England Railroad Symposium, the Annual Transportation Infrastructure Durability Conference, and other regional, national, and international conferences. TIDC Administration and researchers collaborate with State DOTs and AOTs, private industry, partner institutions, and State Transportation Innovation Councils (STICs) to encourage more workforce development opportunities.

TIDC Annual Conference

Each year, the Transportation Infrastructure Durability Center hosts an Annual Conference to report on transportation innovations and research from both the TIDC and its partners. This yearly multi-day event features sessions on the latest in many sub-disciplines of Transportation research.

This annual event highlights emerging challenges and solutions in New England rail. It features speakers from universities, state DOTs, and industry from around the United States to explore the many facets of New England Railroad Infrastructure.
